Basic Help

Watch the demo, fitter!
It can teach much to a new vanger. Once you've seen it, come back here if you still need help.

There's more to do than just vangering around ...
Every world has secrets to unlock, each of which is part of the great mystery of the Lost Chain.

Learn the lingo!
Success is linked to understanding vanger-speak, so pay attention to new words and phrases.

Play with the music on ...
... so long as it doesn't degrade your performance. The music won't help you with your vangering, but it sure is trippy!

Learn how to use your KiD ...
... jumping not only moves you forward and backward, but up and down too. This can be good for both offense and defense.

If you have a Speetle System ...
... try using Okorok ammunition -- it has built-in targeting.

For a really effective weapon combo ...
... get a Ghorb Gear and a Vector. The Vector lets you target other mechos, and with it the powerful Ghorb Gear can fire in any direction!

Be careful when trading your mechos in ...
... use the autoload feature to transfer all your old equipment and wares to the new vehicle. Otherwise, you'll lose it all!

And remember ...
... there are no friends, only beebs to collect!

Specific Help

Once you have one, you can use a Crotrig to dig a straight path from escave to escave.

Larvae show up on your mini-map as colored blocks.

Each secret world has a purpose, not only to help you reach the end of the game, but also to challenge your mind.

Be careful when using artifacts you may have found; some of the "best" artifacts have a touch of bad karma. You will not even be able to enter an escave if you're carrying the Mech Messiah!

When you're wandering around the Lost Chain of Worlds, don't forget to return to Fostral for some easy beebs. When you return, hideouts that were empty before may now contain valuable wares.

Don't be single minded about equipment. Try out many different mechos, rigs, and wares. Each item can be better than any other for a specific task.

Each escave has a number of Tabutasks to be completed, and to reach the end of the game you'll have to complete at least one from every escave.
